What sort of clothes should I wear?

There’s plenty to say on this topic, all of which I’ll send through when you book.

Suffice to say at this stage that you should feel comfortable and any clothes should be things that really feel like you.

I’m nervous to have my picture taken, what should I do?

I cannot begin to tell you how normal and natural this is. Seriously, 98% of actors I have every photographed feel this way. Having your headshots taken is hands-down one of the eggiest feelings going - sitting, staring down a lens and having to be the most fantastical, castable, awe-inspiring actor that ever lived; the singular best version of yourself…solidly….for 2 hours…

All that pressure we put on ourselves! No wonder everyone’s nervous!!

But you don’t have to be all those things. All you need do is show up as yourself and allow me to do all the heavy lifting. I will help get you to a space where you feel relaxed, confident and empowered. I assure you - magic will happen.

I look horrible in pictures, what should I do?

Well that’s not true. Not in the slightest.

You are stardust made sentient. Consciousness housed in a body whose constituent parts were created as the universe burst forth into being. You are EXACTLY how and who you’re meant to be.

There is a unique beauty and vibrancy in every single human being and it is my job to capture that.

I will support you in getting those pictures; we will take wonderful photos that really show you.

Remarkable, magnificent you.

How do I receive my pictures?

After the shoot I’ll send you an online gallery of all your pictures. Once you have selected the ones for processing you can send them back to me and I’ll begin editing.

Once you let me know your selections, it’s a 5-10 working day turnaround time (although usually sooner).

I’ll then send you a link to download your finished pictures. Shazam.

How long do you keep photos on file?

Copies of all images are kept on file for 18 months after the shoot.

Can I have the .RAW files from the shoot?

I’m afraid not. As the name suggests, the .RAW files contain all of the raw, unprocessed digital information and as such are not suitable to send to clients.

Can I have copies of all the files for my pictures?

Unfortunately, no. The cost of your session is for the shoot itself and the delivery of a specified number of edited photos. Additional edited photos can be ordered for a fee - please see the pricing page.

Can I pay for an unedited copy of a photo?

Photos are an artistic work and interpretation of the sitter. Part of that artistic interpretation is the post-production process, to bring the image to a standard and aesthetic that I’m happy with.

As well as being a picture of you, they are also my calling-card so to provide unedited photos would be to knowingly hand out an incomplete piece of work. You wouldn’t allow an audience to sit-in half way through rehearsals and treat it like the finished production.

Same goes for photos. So again, apologies, it’s a ‘no’ here.

Can I edit my own headshots?

I’m afraid not - please see the above.

Can I pay in instalments // a payment plan?

Sad to say I’ve been stung when offering payment plans in the past… This means that I can now only accept a deposit at the time of booking and then full payment on the day of the shoot.

How do you accept payment?

Via BACS bank transfer, both for deposit at the time of booking to confirm your session, and then again on the day of the shoot itself.

Will you re-edit // re-take my pictures if I don’t like them?

Photos are artwork. Editing is also part of that process. Whilst I realise that I can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, I’m very happy with - and proud of - the work I put out. As such, all photos including composition, style, tone and editing is final. Please make sure you are familiar **and happy** with my work before coming to the session. Rest assured that we’ll review things together in the session to make sure we are both in a positive workflow and feeling our groove, so don’t worry!

My agent doesn’t like the pictures, will you re-take // re-edit them.

Please see the above answer. I appreciate that sometimes it can be a tricky thing to manage your relationship with your agent (and vice versa!) so it’s really important you make sure your agent is happy with my style of photography before booking our session.

Can I bring a friend and split the cost of the session?

I like to give each client my full effort, energies and attention when taking their pictures. Taking the best photos involves getting to know you, and a degree of trust and vulnerability is involved to really get to a place where we’re taking great snaps. Having someone else there - even as a cost-cutting measure - can really interfere with that dynamic and thus, quality, of the pictures we get. All bookings are for one person only.

Can I bring someone with me for moral support?

If you’re under 18, it is mandatory to have a parent/guardian present.

If you’re just looking for moral support, don’t worry - I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and promise to make you feel comfortable, empowered and the best version of yourself. Sessions always work best 1:1, so please leave your +1 at home.

Where are you based?

My studio is easily accessible in London, Zone 2. Details will be sent at the time of booking.
